As we searched for a partner to help us through our largest generosity emphasis ever, we quickly discovered there were many different approaches. Most of them, however, all seemed to have one common goal. Success was simply raising a certain amount of money while minimizing the disruption as the church ‘got through a campaign.’ Lamar’s approach, however, was different. His was the only approach that actually made our giving initiative an extension of our on-going ministries. First and foremost, Lamar is a pastor. As such, Lamar helped us lead our people through a spiritual journey. Space was created to share stories. Families were called to prayer. Everyone was challenged to seek how God could use us. Even before our new facility got physically built, we saw how God was busy building His church!  While our campaign was a financial success by all measures, even more importantly, it was a spiritual success for our people.
